Service description
Internal medicine is where most patient journeys begin and where the majority of them are resolved. Our physicians assess adults across the full range of everyday medical problems — the fever that has not settled, the fatigue with no obvious cause, the blood pressure reading a pharmacy flagged — and work out what is actually going on before treatment starts.
The value of a general physician in the UAE is often in connecting things that get treated separately elsewhere. Raised blood sugar, rising cholesterol, disturbed sleep, low vitamin D and unexplained tiredness are frequently parts of one picture rather than five unrelated complaints. With laboratory testing and imaging available in the same visit, we can usually move from symptom to diagnosis to plan without sending you elsewhere, and we manage long-term conditions on an ongoing basis rather than episode by episode.

Process overview
Book or walk in. Book a teleconsultation online if you want to be seen remotely first, or walk into any of our clinics during opening hours.
Consultation. Your doctor takes a full history — symptoms, timeline, medications, family history — and carries out a physical examination.
Investigations. If tests are needed, blood work and imaging are arranged on site. Most routine results return the same day or next day.
Diagnosis and plan. Your doctor explains what the results mean and agrees a treatment plan with you, including what to do if symptoms change.
Medication. Prescriptions can be dispensed at the Lifeguard Pharmacy counter at the clinic.
Follow-up. Review appointments can be held in person or by teleconsultation. For long-term conditions we will set a monitoring schedule so nothing lapses.
