What is this service
Homecare brings licensed clinical staff to the patient. It is used most often by three groups: families caring for elderly relatives, patients in the recovery period after surgery or hospital admission, and people managing long-term conditions where regular monitoring is simply easier at home than at a clinic.
Every visit is carried out by a licensed nurse, documented, and shared with the doctor overseeing your care — so home visits form part of one clinical record rather than sitting outside it. That matters when something changes and a decision has to be made quickly.
Home blood sample collection deserves a mention of its own. A fasting blood test that requires a car journey in August is a test many people postpone indefinitely. Having the sample taken at home removes the reason to delay.

Procedure and process overview
Enquiry. Contact us with an outline of the situation — who needs care, what for, and how often. A teleconsultation is often the fastest way to start.
Clinical assessment. A nurse or doctor assesses what is needed, reviewing hospital discharge notes or existing prescriptions where relevant.
Care plan. You receive a written plan setting out the visits recommended, their frequency, the cost, and what your insurance is likely to cover. Nothing begins until you have agreed it.
Scheduling. Visits are scheduled around the household, with continuity of the same nurse wherever possible.
Delivery and documentation. Every visit is recorded and observations are shared with the supervising doctor. Families are kept informed of any change.
Escalation. If a patient's condition changes, the supervising doctor is contacted and the patient is brought into clinic or referred onward as needed.
Review. The care plan is reviewed at agreed intervals and adjusted — usually reduced — as the patient recovers.
